Jesus charges the church in Sardis with conformity to the culture of the city. They had lost their witness living off their reputation. Complacency had set in which had led to compromises slowly killing the church. He calls them to wake up by remembering the gospel message they had first received. To persist in holding onto these truths and see the life of God breathed back into the church. How does this charge and call of Jesus apply to us today?
