Our Next Generation Ministries exist to partner with parents in helping the next generation love, follow and enjoy Jesus.

SUNDAY MINISTRIES

0-6 Months

Sprouts

Moms with babies under 6 months of age are welcome to participate in the service from the baby room as it is equipped with a television connected to the service (located behind the hall on the left). Fathers we love you, but this room is only for moms to allow them the safety and comfort of breastfeeding in peace. It is a room furnished with changing facilities and a dedicated feeding couches with all required amenities for your comfort.

6-24 Months

Sparks

We acknowledge that these young ones are too little to begin teaching biblical principles and therefore Sparks is a ministry for parents. We have created a safe and fun place for toddlers to experience God’s love through each other and those dedicated volunteers who serve here. We want to partner with parents to care for there children while they are able to enjoy the service. For those children who aren’t quite ready to leave Mommy and Daddy, a parent may stay with them, and we pray that parents will be able to find significant community and build encouraging friendships with parents who are in similar life stages.

2-5 Years Old

Trail Blazers

Trailblazers is a preprimary school focused class for those between 2-5 years old. We want to partner with parents in discipling children though the development of there biblical knowledge and faith. We endeavor to do this through a curriculum which is biblical based and focuses on allowing children to discover their part in God’s Big Story. We teach through the TruWonder syllabus which is an engaging syllabus full of activities such as singing songs, teaching bible stories, play games and have lots of fun learning about our place in the Big God Story. The TruWonder syllabus covers the bible in a three-year cycle allowing children to graduate Trailblazers with an overview of the bible. It also puts you as the parent in the driving seat of leading your children in discipling their children as parents teach stories and we recap and enforce them on a Sunday.

Our committed team serving in the Next Generation Ministries are know as the Bomb Squad because they have been trained to defuse any situation which may arise. More importantly our committed volunteers are passionate about helping our kids learn how to live for Jesus.

Grades 1-4

Live Wires

Trailblazers is a primary school focused class for those between the grades of 1-4. We want to partner with parents in discipling children though the development of there biblical knowledge and faith. We endeavor to do this through a curriculum which is biblical based and focuses on allowing children to discover their part in God’s Big Story. Grades 5-7

Wildfires

Wildfires is a primary school focused class for those between the grades of 5-7. We at PCC recognize that 11–13-year-olds are in a unique stage of life and have unique needs. They are no longer little children, but also not yet teenagers. We have therefore chosen to select a syllabus directly geared towards there development stage. We make use of the Ministry to Preteen syllabus which is a curriculum focused on helping point students to Jesus. It allows us create environments for our preteens to reach them where they are while also partnering with parents in preparing preteens to navigate the years to come. This involves helping our preteens to be rooted in truth and their identity in Jesus allowing their faith to flourish.

Grades 8-12

Storm Chasers

Storm Chasers is a Highschool focused class for those between the grades of 8-12. We at PCC recognize that teenagers are in a unique stage of life and have unique needs. These adolescents are transition from childhood into young adulthood and experience physical, behavioral, cognitive, emotional, and social developmental changes. We therefore have selected an integrative syllabus which is topical, focusing on the issues the teens are facing. We have opted for bible study format as teens develop into community groups in the years to come. It allows us create environments for our teens to reach them where they are while also partnering with parents in preparing teens to navigate the years to come. This involves helping our teens to be rooted in truth and their identity in Jesus allowing their faith to flourish.

We at PCC also recognize the biblical mandate to serve our community and get involved in the life of the church (Philippians 2:3–8) and instill this from there teenage years. Storm Chasers works on a 3-week Sundays class followed by a 1 week serving Sunday within a month. Serving Sunday those teens not serving in Next Gen Ministries, but other avenues of PCC, sit together in the main service and are feed through the message.

FRIDAY NIGHT YOUTH

SALT Youth meet on Friday evenings from 1900 – 21h30 during the GDE school term.

We meet in the Church building down the road from the school located at 57 15th St, Parkhurst, Randburg, 2193.

SALT Youth

SALT Youth is a developing ministry at PCC which endeavors to grow into a teenage focused ministry. Currently it includes ages from 12 to 18 but will transition to high school students within the next two years. We at PCC recognize that teenagers are in a unique stage of life and have unique needs as they experience physical, behavioral, cognitive, emotional, and social developmental changes. Teens are exposed to some overwhelming external and internal struggles as they must cope with hormonal changes, puberty, social and parental forces and school pressures, ext. These are some of the multitude of issues we at SALT seek to assist teens in tackling in a biblical manner as we point them to Jesus as their source of strength and salvation. We also acknowledge that the next step in their discipleship and integration into the main service is a syllabus which focusses on worship, preaching and discussion groups as we tackle relevant issues from a biblical. They are however not adults yet and therefore we strive to have fun with teens as we develop long lasting relationships with them. This all allows us to help our teens to be rooted in truth and their identity in Jesus allowing their faith to flourish.
