In this encounter Jesus shows us that He has the authority to forgive sins thus proving that He is God. He then performed a visible sign of this, by healing the paralytic man. When we encounter Jesus we see and meet God Himself who has power to forgive our sins and as a result our radically transformed just like the life of the paralytic man.
