Gospel
The gospel is God’s message of good news; good news that Jesus Christ came to live, die and rise again for the forgiveness of sin to bring redeemed sinners under God’s gracious reign for the renewal of all things. We want the gospel and it’s implications to be the core focus that will shape our message, motivations and methods as a church.
Prayer
We believe that prayer is a vital part of the Christian life and an invitation to participate in the mission of God in building his church. Therefore we want to place prayer at the beginning and centre of our church life and activity.
Discipleship
We believe that the primary mission of the church is to make disciple-making disciples of Jesus Christ. Our conviction is that this is most effectively done in close, intentional relationship with others and our desire is to see relational discipleship become the normative pattern for church growth.
Community
We believe that God exists in community in the Trinity, and having made us in His image, he has designed us for community. We want to live as image bearers; reflecting God to others as we participate in gospel-centred community together.
Mission
We want to participate in the mission of God, as he sends us out to love and serve the world. We will do this through actively pursuing relationships and creating environments where people can engage with and explore the claims of Christ.
Renewal
The renewal of all things is God’s ultimate aim. As God’s redeemed people we are agents of renewal in this city that serve as a foretaste of what is to come. We do that by redemptively engaging the city and working to see spiritual, social and cultural renewal.
Movement
We believe that God has one Church, and as such we want to participate in the movement of the Kingdom of God in our city and further afield through developing leaders, partnering with other churches and planting multiplying churches.
